Lich by Ray-of-Afterlife
Lich
Lich:

Liches are commonly described as undead sorcerers. Wizards and even kings who strive to triumph over death by preforming various rituals that binds their intellect towards an artifact that they carry- known as a phylactery; to obtain a form of immortality, although, at the cost of their humanity. Even though they are immortal, they are corpses that rot over time, making them somewhat frail, even if they retain their intellect, they will slowly lose their memories, their passions and motivations until they lose all sense of purpose.

Their immortality becomes a curse rather than a blessing, and they simply become like statues, remaining still forever in a void of indifference, while others malignant and eager to harm any living creature in their vicinity with dark magic.

Liches can be destroyed and freed from their curse, by burning them or destroying their phylactery, yet attempting to do so is dangerous. They are deadly foes that can use dark magic to inflict wounds that won't heal, for it seems that their dark magic can dilute and stain the soul of a living being, much like an infection.

Nilim sentinel by Ray-of-Afterlife
Nilim sentinel
Nilim sentinel:

Also known as the golems of Nilim. According to faded scrolls, Nilim was once a utopian city filled with ziggurats and temples, hidden in a lost oasis of the old sand ocean. Little is known about the ruins of Nilim or whatever happened to the people that inhabited the city, the only remnants left of Nilim are the Mysterious sentinels that guard the city.

They measure a total body length of 17 feet of hight and willed large spears that can cut through stone with ease, their combat skills and fighting styles makes them extremely deadly foes, able to dodge and deliver attacks with great speed and agility.

They also seem to speak in their native language and can communicate with one another to fight as a team and plan ambushes.

These sentinels are made of ancient relic stones controlled by unknown forces, and they seem to wear scarfs and attires made for traversing sandy terrain and harsh climates. Their masks also appear to be their most noticeable feature, which is stated by scrolls that these masks are a looking glass to other worlds and a key or portal for ascending mind, body and soul towards a new plain of existence. Perhaps this can explain what happened to the people of Nilim, they've ascended towards another plain of existence, yet the ruins are frayed, which might indicate another reason towards their absence.

I gotta lot of catching up to do

Fri Feb 27, 2015, 8:54 PM
Hello everyone, I apologize for my absence, I make my return with 3 new drawings "cyclops","Ogre" and "Goblin". I was finally able to scan my drawings in the local lybrary today, tomorrow I shall upload 2 more drawings.

The first drawing is "Nilim sentinel" which is a Golem variant made entirely of relics from a fictional place I created called Nilim. They were scarfs and outfits that are made for deserts, and they also use a large spear. I'm currently brainstorming for the description.

The second drawing is "Lich" an undead sorcerer.

Goblin by Ray-of-Afterlife
Goblin
Goblin:

Goblins are malevolent creatures that resemble a scaly frog, they commonly measure a total body length of 2.5 feet of hight and can come in different types of species. At first they appear like frogs or toads, when they become aggressive however, their bat-like ears will sprout from their backs and their fins become tightened and hidden as their claws come out. Their eyes are foggy white, and they appear to bear small aquiline noses. Male goblins usually have longer ears and shorter noses while the females have shorter ears and slightly longer noses.

Their scaly body's are rough and slippery, with the color of faded moss and dirt, making them formidable to camouflage in grassy areas. Goblins usually live in forests, swamps, caves and ditches, and they seem to enjoy humidity and can leave yellowish stains near their vicinity which gives out a distinct odor that lets you know of their whereabouts.

Goblins are carnivorous, while they usually prey on smaller animals and creatures, goblins are known to attack humans. A single goblin is not much of a threat, but in numbers can be quite deadly, they seem to posses some intelligence and can communicate with another to plan an ambush. They also seem to carry toxic chemicals in their saliva which are known to cause muscle cramps and abdominal pain, even if their toxic salivas are not life threatening, they should be taken with caution for they have a tendency to stun and eat their prey alive.

I decided to redesign another creature from one of my old fantasy art book, to see the old design I did 5 to 6 years ago; sta.sh/01kinjqr9grb

Ogre by Ray-of-Afterlife
Ogre
Ogre:

Ogres are large carnivorous creatures that are usually found in forests, caves and swamps, they are commonly 8 to 10 feet of height and posses brute strengths. Their bodies seem to be made of some kind of large root that slightly resembles wood, because of this; many believe that ogres are associated with the Mandragora creatures, others even believe that a fully grown Mandragora is most likely an ogre.

They seem to lack any legs and therefore need to balance themselves with both their arms, this would make them less dangerous but surprisingly, they can balance their entire body with one arm and quickly attack with the other one. They can also leap towards their target in order to crush their victim with their massive body weight.

Ogres seem to display intelligence to a certain extent, they are a few who are able speak or mimic words, and their are others like swamp Ogres who usually lurk inside waters to drown their prey.

Their are many myths that describes how Ogres commonly prefer eating children and infants, one myth in particular suggest that once an infant gets digested by an Ogre, it becomes a seed that the Ogres usually plant wherever they reside, once it is planted; the seed grows into a Mandragora. This myth might support the association with Ogres and Mandragoras or even explain how Ogres reproduce themselves.

Drawing ever since I can remember, Its the only thing that I'm good at. Since I suck at almost anything else (scratch playing video games, I'm awesome at playing video games XD). Art gives me a huge purpose in life, it reminds me that I'm a unique individual and not a wasted space.

Always trying my best to be a great artist, I may not be the most spectacular Artists ever but I try to always be creative. I'm hoping to be a illustrator / concept artist in the future, hopefully sooner :)

Anyways hope you enjoy my art :D

Ah thanks!!  Glad your looking into my latest work, though I've been wanting to draw something creepy, no luck yet. Particularly my monsters for my story/ concept which I been writing allot about lately :)

ah I know what it feels like, I'm currently in that position.. Since I was born lol  sometimes the world can make me feel like I'm just no good at all, and I don't say that to be dramatic, it's my honesty. It can be so damn stressful you know? But I guess I can live trough it, lol :XD:
