Belastung: German word for burden

Can be manifested by people who suffer from emotional burdens or unable to cope with their lives that are in shambles.

The creature appears to be a fairly slim male humanoid. It's arms are fused together and a solid fleshy fabric appears to be trapping its hands all the way to it's forearms, it seems to be extremely heavy, leaving the creature to have no choice but to drag it, making Belastung a slow foe and easy to avoid in open spaces. Yet, they tend to commonly appear in indoor areas. A vertical orifice seems to be connecting it's neck all the way to it's fused limbs. It functions as a breathing nostril, making deep groaning noises as the creature inhales suggesting that it's in pain. Two club-like appendages are growing out of both it's shoulder blades rendering the creature to be hunched. It's head is trapped in a rectangular object or mask with a circular hole exposing the creature's mouth. Below it's mouth, a tube that leads to the bottom edge of the rectangular mask reveals a hole were its whip-like tongue emerges from. Belastung's attack method consist of using it's 3 feet long tongue to whip it's prey until it knocks them down to the ground, if the victim doesn't get up quickly enough to hopes to survive, the Belastung will use it's heavy fused appendages to pummel and crush him/her for the final blow. Delivering an instant death.


Symbolism:
It's hands all the way to its forearms appears to be like unusable lumps of meat covered in a solid fleshy fabric. This may represent the intention for the healing of one's life who is in shambles. This is strongly implied on the fact that the solid fleshy fabric that's trapping their hands resembles a plaster cast used for broken bones. And its extreme weight suggest the struggle and emotional weight to cope for their destroyed lives that have made them incapable to achieve happiness. The rectangular mask of a belastung could possibly represent suppressed emotions, the exposed mouth seems to have its whip-like tongue emerge from the bottom part of the mask, this may be a metaphor of recklessness and desire for control that one tends to acquire when dealing with emotional struggle. The vertical orifice connecting the Belastung's fused arms and neck may very well suggest agony and open wounds of confliction or a leakage of one's damaged psyche. The club-like appendages symbolizes Burden, which might represent the overall meaning of the creature to represent someone who is truly burdened and struggling from a life full of tragedy.
