Slidering Void

The illness that lingers in all of us, suppressed and buried by happiness but, it doesn't matter. It will lurk in the darkest corners of our hearts and when it hits, it will hit us hard. Depression might never have a cure, it has attached itself to the very soul of many unfortunate people in this world. Ether we learn how to deal with it or get swallowed in its darkness and forever parish. The souls of those who have perished from this are forever trapped in every shadow that exist in this world. Eternally caged and forsaken from any light. Forced to cower in the very shade that swallowed them. Through its despair, their souls die and reshaped as a newborn entity of pity and hatred towards an unfair world. A void slider. 

Void Sliders have a slim humanoid appearance, it's legs are replaced with a serpent-like tale. This entity's seems to swim in every shadow that exist in the world, yet they cannot survive if their entire body leaves a shadow or they will expirience immense agony and reincarnate as a weaker form of slider, repeating its suffering yet again. This symbolize how their depression shrouded their lives before death and how depression would come back no matter what.

It's elongated arms are adorned by its scythe like appendages that sliders use to attack they're victims as well as drag them into their own shadows and devour their souls in the process. This represents the sadness that drowned them emotionally throughout their lives. 

A Slider's face consist of what appears to be a beak with a humanoid jaw. And some sliders have skeletal wings instead of their common scythe-like limb blades. hence the metaphor of a bird forever trapped in a shrouded cage of melancholy and despair.
